LA BOULANGERIE is offering a summer camp entitled Grains of Europe. Participants will explore the techniques of making authentic traditional European recipes using whole grains. This camp is a great opportunity to discover culinary traditions from across Europe, instill the love and habit of preparing healthy meals, and learn valuable cooking and life skills.

During the 5 days of camp, students perfect the details of mixing, fermenting, shaping, and baking breads and pastries, cooking hearty meals, and making salads, with a variety of whole grains, locally grown vegetables and fruit at each meal.

Campers also engage in creative and cultural activities designed around a food theme of the day. Together, they learn about the table etiquette of serving and eating, take time to enjoy their meal outside in the shade of a tree, and work in teams to set up and clean up tables.

Lunches and afternoon snacks are made from scratch. No artificial flavors or food coloring are consumed. Recipes contain nuts, seeds, gluten, dairy, and meat (vegetarians can be accommodated).

This camp is for youth ages 8 to 12 years old.

No Before/After Care services is offered.
